Night’s Mirror

I crashed through the mirror of night

Into the ever after I flow

Dancing with my soul and dreams of old

Scattered across the emptiness, out of sight

I have dreamed, I have believed

With blind faith, her sword at my side

Into battle I sleep

Among the ruins of men

To fall and to rise, to serve and condemn

The devine chapter I seek

Engraved within the soul of the past

Weathered and concealed by human emotion

For right and for wrong, in thy name

Called to answer crimes, to shed blame

And break the eternal seal

Through each day and night

Lost, and revealed

I have longed for the peace of the moon

And the battle cry of the sun

It is nature we blame

For the sin and the game

To waste the mind

Without sense, or shame
